What's the absolute best way to travel?

By hat, of course!

I am preparing for Karneval and although I haven't even watched the movie "Alice in Wonderland" yet, I am already a big fan of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. So obviously I will be the Hatter at our school's party on Thursday and there's a lot for me to do. This is a preliminary result:

Wie reist man am besten? Mit der Bahn? Nein, per Hut. So sagt es der verrückte Hutmacher in dem Film "Alice im Wunderland". Leider habe ich ihn noch nicht gesehen (außer dem Trailer und ein paar Szenen, die es auf Youtuibe gibt), bin aber jetzt schon ein goßer Fan von Johnny Depp als "Mad Hatter" - logisch, dass ich bei der großen Karnevalsparty am Donnerstag nur als Mad Hatter gehen kann. Hier seht ihr einen Zwischenstand, was mein Kostüm angeht: 

I've been working on the make-up a lot during the last weekend, it is not so easy to get it right and I might still be looking for another hue of red for under the left eye (both eyes are different). I am still missing the hatband that is of an apricot color, and will be trying to find some hatpins or something that I could use as hatpins to complete the hat. Then I need a pink or apricot shirt, brown pants and striped tights. I will also make the sash from bobbins that the hatter wore in the movie, I hope the spools will arrive tomorrow (I have ordered them online and will have to wrap them with thread by myself, then find a way to connect them ... ) I will add the bandage that the hatter wore in the movie as well as the thimble, but will do without the pincushion ring for safety reasons. I've already got the beautiful and big old-fashioned looking green ring that you can see in the picture as a substitute. 

So, still a lot of work to do. I like the contact lenses that I am wearing in the pictures, because the whole thing looked odd with my natural blue eyes! I wish they were even more yellow, but even like this they add much to the whole look.There will be pictures of the completed look as well, hopefully by the end of the week. 

Das ganze Wochenende habe ich immer wieder am Make-up gefeilt, das echt nicht so leicht hinzukriegen ist. Vielleicht besorge ich noch einen anderen Farbton, denn ich habe noch nicht das richtige Rot für das linke Auge (die Augen sind beim Hatter unterschiedlich geschminkt). Jetzt fehlt mir noch dieses apricotfarbene Hutband, und Hutnadeln oder vielleicht Broschen oder sowas, die man anstelle der Hutnadeln nehmen könnte. Dann brauche ich noch ein rosanes Hemd, eine braune Hose und gestreifte Strumpfhosen. Auf jeden Fall werde ich, sobald die Spulen da sind, auch diese "Schärpe" (oder wie soll man das nennen?) aus Garnspulen machen, ich habe Spulen online bestellt und die müssten morgen ankommen, da muss ich aber noch Garn von Hand draufwickeln, die sind nämlich leer, und sie irgendwie verbinden ... ich lass mir was einfallen! Ich werde noch den Verband und den Fingerhut zum Kostüm hinzufügen, aber auf den Nadelkissenring aus Sicherheitsgründen verzichten. Stattdessen habe ich ja schon den großen grünen schön altmodischen Ring, den man auf den Bildern sieht. Heute sind die Kontaktlinsen gekommen, die ich auf den Bildern anhabe. Leider sind sie nicht so gelb/grün, wie ich gehofft hatte, aber der ganze Look sieht deutlich besser aus als mit meinen normalen blauen Augen, da hat das alles zu normal und hell gewirkt. Tja, also Bilder vom kompletten Kostüm gibt es dann hoffentlich spätestens am Wochenende.
